1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly (account details, payment information, support requests) and information generated through your use of the platform (usage data, flow execution logs, API call metadata). Execution logs record the inputs and outputs of each step in your flows and agents, which can include the content of AI prompts and responses. These logs exist so you can debug and trace your executions; see Data Retention & Deletion below for how long they are kept and how to delete them.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used to operate and improve Runtype, process payments, provide support, and communicate product updates. We do not sell your data to third parties, and we do not use your content to train AI models. We may use aggregated, de-identified usage data, which never includes the content of your prompts, records, or outputs, to improve the Service. Authorized personnel may access your content when needed to provide support you request, to investigate abuse or security incidents, or where required by law.

3. Data Storage & Security

All customer data is stored and processed in the United States, on infrastructure provided by Cloudflare, PlanetScale, and Clerk. Sensitive data such as credentials and API keys is encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM, and data in transit is encrypted with TLS. See our Security page for details.

4. Data Retention & Deletion

Execution logs are retained according to your plan, from 1 day up to 90 days, and are deleted automatically after your plan's retention window. Records, files, and other content you store on the platform are kept until you delete them, which you can do at any time through the dashboard or API. When you close your account, your data is deleted within 30 days unless we are required by law to retain it.

5. Third-Party Services & AI Model Providers

We use third-party services for authentication (Clerk), analytics (PostHog), billing (Schematic and Stripe), email delivery, error monitoring, and infrastructure (Cloudflare, PlanetScale, Vercel). When you run flows or agents, the content you submit is processed by the AI model provider selected in your configuration (for example Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google), either under your own provider account and keys or under Runtype's agreements with those providers. Certain tools, when you choose to use them, send data to the service that powers them (for example web search or web scraping providers). Each of these services operates under its own privacy policy. A complete list of our subprocessors is available on request at support@runtype.com.

6. Your Products and Your End Users

If you build products on Runtype that serve your own users, you are the data controller for the personal data those products process. Runtype processes that data on your behalf and only to provide the Service, and your own privacy notice governs what your end users are told.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. Contact us at support@runtype.com to exercise these rights.
